Our founder
Hi, I am Chris, owner of Just Add Water. Bringing water to people's yards has always been a passion of mine. Growing up around water in Michigan, I wanted that same feeling when I moved to Iowa. I had a vision for my own yard and I stopped at nothing to make it real. That first water feature became a challenge and a rush I will never forget, and from there it grew into the business you see today. Over the years I have assembled an outstanding team that shares the same standard for the work.

We are here to enrich the lives of our customers and our team through a positive, fun experience, completing landscapes with beautiful natural ponds, waterfalls, and fountains while providing knowledgeable, superior customer service.

Credentials
Just Add Water has been a Certified Aquascape Contractor since 2006, and today we are the only Master Certified Aquascape Contractor in Central Iowa. For you, that means the most qualified and best-trained pond builders in the region are the ones standing in your backyard. We attend ongoing training every year so your water feature is built on current best practices, not shortcuts.

Owner and CEO
Since 2004
Chris founded Just Add Water in 2004. Before moving to Iowa, he was a partner at a landscape company in Ann Arbor, Michigan. After building his first pond in his own yard, he quickly realized that creating water features was his true passion. What started as a love of building the features themselves has grown into something bigger for Chris: the impact the company makes on people's lives, and watching the crew grow and develop their skills.
Production Manager
Since 2013
Will met Chris while studying landscape construction at Iowa State University. What began as a summer internship quickly became a career he is passionate about. He enjoys the incredible team at Just Add Water, the problem solving that comes with every new project, and building lasting relationships with our customers.
Construction Foreman
Since 2015
Connor grew up around the landscaping industry, and his first role at the company was dressing as the company mascot for home shows. Since then he has been part of hundreds of water feature builds, creating beautiful works of art for our clients. He loves building amazing features and seeing clients react to their new water features, and says the team feels very much like a second family.
Service Manager
Since 2019
Clay joined the team looking for summer work before heading back to school, but quickly came on full time after growing fond of the work and the atmosphere. His love for the industry comes from his love of nature, the creative freedom of the work, and getting to know our wonderful clients.
Service Technician
Since 2021
Eli was drawn to hands on, blue collar work and intrigued by the niche world of water features. He has grown to love the work environment at Just Add Water and getting to work with water features every day. His favorite part is seeing the smile on a homeowner's face after the team finishes their water feature.
Construction Foreman
Since 2022
Brady joined the team in 2022 and has quickly become one of our rising stars on the construction crew. He enjoys creating amazing water features, the camaraderie of the team, and working for our incredible clientele.
Marketing Manager
Since 2023
Jack found Just Add Water after graduating from the University of Northern Iowa and formed an instant connection with the team. He loves sharing the incredible water features our team creates through social media and events, and seeing how clients incorporate water features into their daily lives.
