  • You can run it through the winter or shut it down, depending on the feature and your preference. We will set you up either way and walk you through simple seasonal steps so your feature comes through the cold in great shape.

  • Absolutely. We start with an Exploratory Drain and Clean to assess the system, find any issues, and get your inherited pond running the way it should.

  • An ecosystem pond brings constant movement, sound, and wildlife to your yard with low ongoing effort. It is a living focal point, a teaching tool for kids, and a daily source of calm.

  • A landscape fountain needs a minimum of about 4 feet by 4 feet. A pondless waterfall needs about 6 feet by 6 feet. An ecosystem pond needs about 8 feet by 8 feet. We can work with almost any yard.

  • A landscape fountain starts around $4,000, with most projects landing near $15,000. A pondless waterfall starts around $6,000, with most between $7,500 and $15,000. An ecosystem pond starts around $8,500, with most between $10,000 and $25,000. Large, advanced builds can go well beyond that. You will get an exact quote after an on-site consultation.

  • Choose an ecosystem pond if you want a living pond with plants and the option of fish. Choose pondless if you want the sound and movement of a waterfall with less maintenance and no standing water.

  • A pondless waterfall is a recirculating waterfall or stream that disappears into a hidden underground basin, so there is no open pond to maintain. It is low maintenance and safe around children.

  • An ecosystem pond is a low-maintenance, naturally balanced pond built from five working parts: biological filtration, mechanical filtration, aquatic plants, rocks and gravel, and circulation. Fish are an optional addition if you want them. Just Add Water is a Master Certified Aquascape Contractor and has installed over 300 water features and serviced hundreds more.

  • Not at all. Plenty of our ponds have no fish and look beautiful year-round. If you do want fish, an ecosystem pond supports them well, and we will set up the pond so they thrive with very little extra work from you.
